He's one of Australia’s greatest songwriters, and following the release of his lyric book 'Songs', DON WALKER and his band will be taking to the stage in The Bunker at The Imperial Hotel Eumundi on Friday 6 September - as part of his Songs Live Tour. He'll be supported by ANDREA KIRWIN.
'Songs' features the collected lyrics of Don Walker from throughout his extensive career - including hits with Cold Chisel through to Catfish and Tex, Don and Charlie, his solo work and other writing collaborations.
For more than 40 years, Don has written songs that capture what it is to be Australian. Songs like Khe Sanh, Flame Trees, Looking Forward Looking Back and Harry Was a Bad Bugger. Walker’s words are poetic, moving and incisive.
And it's these lyrics that Don and his band will be sharing in his Eumundi performance.
N.B. Songs will be available in Hardback at the 6 September gig. Interspersed with autobiographical sketches and anecdotes, and with an exclusive introduction by Jimmy Barnes, Songs is a must-have for fans of Walker’s brilliant, razor-sharp storytelling.
