What are you most proud of achieving over the past year?

I would like to think a closer working relationship with the community.

How do you feel the past 12 months have gone?

The year has gone very quickly, and our focus has been to improve the road network. This is a challenge for us and the community because we are a large Council area with a limited amount of resources.

What were your biggest challenges faced during your first year in council? Both professionally and personally?

I think for me was the adjustment from how local Government was when I was Mayor of Eidsvold to now. I personally believe that Councillors should be more involved, because when there is a problem the rate payers ring there local Councillor to solve their concerns.

What are your priorities for the next three years?

The most important thing to rate payers is the basics, give them a good safe road to travel on, improve the quality of the roads to allow for B-Doubles wherever possible to enable them to get their stock and produce to market in top condition. To provide a Town Centre they can be proud of that will encourage travellers to stop, so doing supporting our many small business.

What have been the biggest surprises of the past twelve months?

How a diverse group of people can come together with a common aim to work for the betterment of our Communities. led by a Mayor that is totally dedicated to serving her Community.
