Learn to play golf day
THE MONTO Golf Club is hosting a come and try day from 2pm to 5pm this Saturday afternoon.
Following a successful clinic last year, the event has been made possible in 2018 thanks to funding through the Queensland Government's Get Out, Get Active program.
All golfers, regardless of skill level and experience, should benefit from the free training provided by Bundaberg professionals.
Club secretary Eddie Anderson said it's a great initiative to introduce people to the game.
"This is a good day for everyone, not just kids,” Mr Anderson said.
"I'm sure a lot of our regulars will be there making the most of the expert advice.
"We hope to get more people involved in golf.”
Whether you're a first-timer, weekend warrior or a golfing demigod this weekend is the perfect opportunity to learn new skills and have fun on the course.
Equipment is available for those who don't own clubs and there will be a sausage sizzle on the day.
