Five things to do this weekend

1. Burnett sub-chamber judging

Saturday

THE region's rural ambassadors and Miss Showgirls will be representing their town and show society with pride at the Burnett sub-chamber judging this weekend.

The finals judging will also include the presentation of the fruit cake and ute muster champions.

Former Queensland Miss Showgirl Emily Rockemer will share her experience at the Burnett sub-chamber finals and is looking forward to meeting the region's finalists.

The successful Miss Showgirl and rural ambassador will go on to represent the Burnett sub-chamber at the

Brisbane Ekka from August 9-18.

2. Car show

Saturday

CAR lovers from Bundaberg, the Sunshine Coast and within the region will head to the second annual Mulgildie Hotel Car Show on Saturday.

The event will start at 10am and run until late, with live entertainment sure to entertain spectators throughout the day.

Embrace the spirit of the event and dress in the 1970s theme for the chance to win the $200 cash prize for best dressed.

Entry to the show is a gold coin donation, and funds will go towards the Ridgehaven Retirement Complex.

3. Mundubbera Welcomes You

Saturday

MUNDUBBERA'S community spirit will be on show when the town welcomes fresh faces to the town and residents enjoy the chance to catch up with old friends.

Meet, mingle and enjoy free international food tasting and light entertainment from 6-9pm at Mundubbera Community Hall.

4. End of season barbecue

Sunday

THE Gayndah community will gather to celebrate the end of another fruit season.

There will be a free barbecue and live music at Claude Wharton Weir Park from 11am-3pm for all to enjoy.

5. NAIDOC Street March in Eidsvold

Sunday

THE community of Eidsvold will turn out to celebrate NAIDOC by holding a street march.

It will start at 9.30am at Apex Park and travel to the RM Williams Centre for a flag- raising ceremony, exhibition and a fun day of activities.
